Generally a non-Class 2 driver will exceed the power or voltage or current limitations of Class 2, so there will not be a matching Class 2 substitute. But, if a Class 2 driver is able to match the necessary power, current and voltage of the incumbent Non-Class 2 driver, it can be used as a replacement.
