Smart lighting system for the home stadium of Sanfrecce, Hiroshima, Japan

ArenaVision and Signify Interact for Sports deliver flicker-free match lighting and synchronized RGBW shows, elevating fan experience, enabling concerts, and cutting energy use with data-driven control.

“With Signify Interact and ArenaVision LEDs, light became part of the action—broadcast-perfect on the field, and a dynamic canvas for concerts and civic moments that amplify Hiroshima’s pride.”

Customer Challenge

Before Edion Peace Wing, matches were played at a remote, 1992-era venue with manual, non-synchronized lighting. The location limited attendance and post-match engagement, wasn’t optimized for concerts or civic events, and failed to meet J.League/AFC broadcast standards—impeding media quality, operations, and the stadium’s role as a vibrant community hub.

Solution

Signify supplied ArenaVision LED field lighting and Color Kinetics Vaya RGBW for the roof and façade, all controlled via Signify Interact. A single dashboard enables scene-based control across different zones, real-time synchronization with LED walls and audio, and broadcast-ready, flicker-free illumination for 4K/slow-motion. Data analytics support energy optimization—up to 45% savings compared to conventional lighting—and predictive maintenance, while precise commissioning ensures consistent, glare-free light for every event.
