High-quality lighting is essential for sports. Signify provided comprehensive services from consulting and design through implementation, service, and maintenance, to sharing insights on new technologies for the Radotín field.
TJ Sokol Radotín modernized the lighting of its lacrosse field
"For our facility, this is a significant step forward in every respect: higher light intensity and better light balance, easy control, several preset lighting modes, and instant restart in case of a failure.”
Ondřej Mika, Managing Director, TJ Sokol Radotín
Customer Challenge
The TJ Sokol Radotín lacrosse field was originally lit by twelve fixtures with 2 kW discharge lamps. The lighting had higher energy consumption, limited control options, and less comfortable conditions for players, spectators, and media.
The goal was to improve quality and uniformity of lighting, reduce operating costs, and minimize disruptive light for nearby residents.
Solution
The original fixtures were replaced with ten OptiVision LED gen3.5 floodlights with asymmetric optics, complemented by a Dynalite control system. The new lighting is designed with a focus on high horizontal and vertical uniformity of illumination and maximum visual comfort.
The solution includes intelligent lighting control with several preset lighting scenes, allowing easy adjustment of light intensity and character depending on the type of activity, training, or match. The LED lighting also provides instant switch-on and restart, dimming capability, and full control via a touch panel.
Thanks to the use of luminaires with integrated shields and horizontal aiming without tilt, it was possible to significantly reduce the light spill outside the premises.
"We greatly appreciate Signify’s approach from the very beginning through project completion. All technicians were very helpful, and communication was smooth and seamless. We received high-quality documentation for construction elements and electrical installation. Everything was always resolved easily and quickly.”
Ondřej Mika, Managing Director, TJ Sokol Radotín
