FAQs
This page covers a broad portfolio of LED downlight families spanning recessed, surface-mounted, suspended, and slim-format housings. Families include LuxSpace Compact, recessed, GreenSpace G6, CoreLine Downlight gen5, SmartBright Pro Downlight gen2, Ledinaire SlimDownlight, LuxSpace Pro, and GreenPerform DN391–395, among others. Each family addresses specific mounting formats, ceiling void depths, and application requirements.
CCT options span 2,700 K to 6,500 K, covering warm white through daylight, enabling selection to match the intended visual environment. CRI reaches up to 90 across the families, supporting demanding visual-comfort applications. The precise CCT and CRI options available for a given family are detailed in the individual product datasheet — specifiers should verify the combination required against the task illuminance target for the application.
Efficacy ranges from 80 to 114 lm/W across the families on this page, and lumen output covers 680 to 2,000 lm depending on the family and wattage package selected. Wattage spans 7.5 to 20 W. These ranges make the portfolio applicable to both compact low-ceiling installations and spaces demanding higher maintained illuminance levels — confirm exact values via each family's datasheet.
DALI dimming is supported across the range — DALI dimming is supported across the range, with DALI-2 and D4i variants available for installations requiring multi-master addressing or sensor-on-driver capability. Interact-Ready variants using WIA, SIA, WEIA, or SEIA drivers enable wireless integration with the Interact platform without DALI bus wiring. Many families also include integrated movement and light sensors for cost-effective local control.
The portfolio covers recessed (including deep-recessed and slim-format), surface-mounted, and surface-and-suspended formats. Recessed families such as LuxSpace Compact and GreenUp deep recessed downlight G2 suit installations where a ceiling void is available, while surface-mounted families such as GreenSpace Surface Mount and Philips Sleek Surface PRO are appropriate where no void exists. Mounting format selection is an architectural and installation-driven decision based on ceiling construction and design intent.
IP ratings across these families include IP20, IP30, IP40, IP44, and IP54 variants. IP20 is appropriate for standard dry indoor environments, while IP44 and IP54 variants suit areas exposed to moisture or dust ingress — such as bathrooms, kitchens, or humid commercial spaces. The specific IP rating for a given family is confirmed in the product datasheet; specifiers should match the installation environment's ingress-protection requirements to the selected variant.
EN 12464-1 Table 5.3 defines maintained illuminance and uniformity targets by task type — for example, 500 lux with uniformity U₀ ≥ 0.6 for office writing tasks. Family-level UGR ranges from 16 to 25; confirm the relevant UGR limit per space type against EN 12464-1 Table 5.3 before finalising the layout.
Photometric files (IES/LDT), product datasheets, and BIM/Revit objects are available from each family's product page on signify.com. For specification-grade families such as LuxSpace Compact, LuxSpace Mini, LuxSpace square, and LuxSpace Pro, the Online Product Configurator (OPC) generates project-specific datasheets, IES/LDT files, and BIM/Revit objects for both pre-configured SKUs and configurator-generated codes — enabling accurate photometric modelling before procurement.
This is Signify's global product page. Country-specific regulations — such as the EU EcoDesign Directive, EN 60598 Part 1 general safety requirements, and market-specific installation codes — vary by region and are not covered on this page.
