The client’s challenge
Surfing in the middle of the Alps is already a pipe dream, but to be able to do it after nightfall seems almost impossible. However, this was not an obstacle for the founder of Alaïa Bay, the first artificial wave park in Europe. Signify’s LED technology and Interact management software were key to the realization of this unusual and ambitious project.
The solution
For the lighting of Alaïa Bay, Optivision and Clearflood projectors have been used on 24-meter high columns, which have made it possible to extend the hours of use of the wave park even during the night hours providing users with a unique surfing experience. The lighting system is managed by Interact, Signify’s online remote control platform, which has been seamlessly integrated with the client’s software, allowing operators to manage wave generation and lighting from a single control panel.
