Customer challenge
In the midst of a global climate crisis, with real estate industry responsible for more than 39%* of all global carbon emissions, the time for sustainable buildings is now. EDGE Amsterdam West is devised to be one of the Netherlands’ first office buildings to meet the sustainable specifications of the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement. To achieve this, Edge needed to reduce the building’s energy output and spending, building a connected environment to suit office workers and building owners alike.
Solution
EDGE Amsterdam West is now a building that puts employee needs at the forefront, allowing for personalization of working spaces and designed using the principles of lighting for well-being. With dimming schedules, daylight harvesting, and occupancy sensors, this connected lighting system can provide the capabilities and data insights for EDGE West’s building owners to enjoy significant savings on energy consumption and progress towards sustainability goals. These features are easily operable through a centralized dashboard.
