Customer challenge

One Vanderbilt Avenue, in Manhattan’s prime business district and connected to Grand Central Station, needed to meet New York City requirements for buildings to be “topped off.” The client also wanted a programmable, colorful lighting design for the crown and spire to celebrate holidays, events, and causes while strengthening public connection.

The solution

One Vanderbilt uses a full Color Kinetics lighting system, including ColorGraze and ReachElite High Punch luminaires, delivering dynamic, color‑changing illumination for the crown and spire. Continuous grazers and floodlights highlight architectural forms, while Interact Landmark enables remote control of lighting scenes.
