We engage with external bodies who evaluate us on our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance, compared to our peers. These evaluations differ in terms of methodology, coverage, and focus areas. We allocate our efforts to engage with bodies who have robust and transparent methodologies. Thanks to our ambitious sustainability program and performance, we are recognized as a leader in sustainability.

DJSI World Index member

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) is a family of indices operated under a partnership between S&P Dow Jones Indexes and RobecoSAM. DJSI evaluates the sustainability performance of the world’s largest companies. We have been a member of the DJSI World Index since our IPO for 6 consecutive years, named Industry Leader in 2017, 2018, 2019 and top 1% in the Electrical Components & Equipment industry in 2021.

A List Member

The carbon disclosure project is a global non-profit organization that runs the world’s environmental disclosure system for companies, cities, states, and regions. The annual Climate A List names the world’s leaders in environmental transparency on climate change. Nearly 20,000 organizations around the world disclosed data through CDP in 2022. We have been recognized on the A list for several consecutive years for our leadership in environmental performance.

Supplier Engagement Leader

This initiative from CDP seeks to promote supplier engagement in environmental action by establishing a system to evaluate supplier engagement practices and recognize best practices. We have been included in the leadership board for engaging our suppliers in environmental action and transparency.

The MSCI ESG rating evaluates more than 6000 companies according to their exposure to industry-specific ESG risks and their ability to manage these, compared to their peers. We have been rated AA by MSCI, recognizing us as Leader.

Sustainalytics’ ESG rating evaluates companies worldwide according to their sustainability performance. We scored Low ESG Risk, which made us in the top 1% of our Industry and top 5% of the ESG Risk Ratings Universe.

Ecovadis develops responsible procurement solutions across industries based on its CSR performance assessment. We have been awarded the platinum medal for our sustainability performance and are positioned in the top 1% among all companies assessed.

ISS Corporate Solutions has awarded Signify with a Prime Status based on the assessment of its ESG performance, bringing Signify to the 1^st Decile Rank within the Electronic Components industry group.This confirms we meet the ambitious absolute performance requirements in Corporate Ratings and achieve the best ESG scores among our sector peers.

Created by the global index provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company confirms that Signify has been independently assessed according to the FTSE4Good criteria and has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series.

VBDO has been a driver, motivator, and knowledge leader for responsible investment in the Netherlands since 1995. It publishes benchmarks and theme studies and organizes round tables and seminars. In 2022, we have been ranked as a leading company in the category “Supply chain labor conditions”.

Vigeo Eiris (V.E.) is a global leader in ESG assessments, data, research, benchmarks, and analytics. Its extensive proprietary database equips market players with the ESG insight they need to manage risks and better understand and address their social and environmental impact. In 2021, we received Advanced status for ESG performance, ranking 2nd in our sector.

The Euronext Vigeo Eiris Benelux 20 index is composed of the 20 highest-ranking listed companies in the Benelux area in terms of Environmental, Social and Governance performance as evaluated by the Vigeo Eiris agency. We continue to be included in this index for several years.

Powered by Sustainalytics ESG data, the AEX ESG index is designed to facilitate the adoption of mainstream ESG investment approaches. It reflects a relative ranking for the 25 “Best-in-Class” companies based on ESG Risk Rating criteria assessed by Sustainalytics.

UN Global Climate Action Award

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat is the United Nations entity tasked with supporting the global response to the threat of climate change and the parent treaty of the 2015 Paris Agreement. UNCFCCC gave us the UN Global Climate Action Award for our carbon neutral program and achievement in 2020.

Most Innovative Report Award

The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy creates an ESG reporting Transparency Benchmark for Dutch companies. Based on the 2021 benchmark, Signify was awarded the Most Innovative report for providing reasonable assurance on all sustainability statements and having an attractive design for a wide range of audiences, including younger generations.

Top Dutch company for gender equality

Equileap is a leading provider of insights into gender equality. Annually, Equileap creates a report ranking the Top 100 largest companies listed on the Euronext Amsterdam Stock Exchange. In 2021, Signify was ranked 10th for gender equality in the workplace and 2nd in the supply chain.

Outstanding Contribution to Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements Award

The “Sustainable Cities And Human Settlements Awards” (SCAHSA) is an annual award organized by the Global Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS) and supported by UNEP aiming to enhance the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. In 2021, Signify won the "Outstanding Organization and Individual" award.

Golden Peacock Global Award for Sustainability

The Golden Peacock Awards, instituted by the Institute of Directors (IOD), India in 1991, are now regarded as a benchmark of Corporate Excellence worldwide. We received the “Golden Peacock Global Award for Sustainability” for the year 2022. The aim of the Golden Peacock Global Award for Sustainability is to stimulate and help organizations to rapidly accelerate the pace of stakeholder-oriented improvement processes. It is a powerful self-assessment process and a way to build an organizations' brand equity on sustainability.
