Signify EnabLED Representatives attend Lightfair 2023 and Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE)

    June 29, 2023

From May 23-25, 2023, members of the Signify EnabLED licensing team attended Lightfair 2023 at the Javitz Center in New York City. Lightfair is the largest lighting tradeshow in North America, and 2023 is the last year the show will be held on an annual basis, with organizers deciding to move to a biennial approach going forward that will coincide with the off-years of the global tradeshow Light + Building in Frankfurt, Germany.

Lightfair continued to grow in size since the show’s October 2021 and June 2022 events that followed its cancellation in 2020 due to the pandemic.  However, 2023 also saw the continued withdrawal of some of North America’s largest lighting brands from participation at Lightfair—which this year included withdrawals from Signify and Cooper Lighting as exhibitors.

Still, with over 320 exhibitors and over 11,000 registered attendees at this year’s show, Lightfair continues to play an important role in advancing the lighting industry, and provides a valuable opportunity for Signify to connect with its EnabLED licensees, many of whom are regular exhibitors and/or attendees.

From June 9-12, 2023, members of the Signify EnabLED licensing team also attended the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China.

As a part of Light + Building, GILE offers a comprehensive overview of the trends and developments in the fields of LED technology, power supply, drivers, intelligent lighting technologies and solutions, lighting production, luminaires and horticultural lighting. Over 3000 exhibitors presented their insights in the lighting industry, covering a total of 220,000 square metres across 22 halls and providing Signify a good opportunity to engage with its EnabLED licensees and interested parties from across Asia.
