Customer challenge
Our client was tasked with delivering seven separate sites across Ireland, each constructed by different subcontractors, while ensuring that identical systems and services were installed at every location. These systems needed to meet the stringent operational and compliance requirements of the national healthcare service, as well as support centralised monitoring and maintenance after completion.
Given the accelerated project schedule, the buildings were designed to incorporate extensive modular offsite construction to streamline delivery and reduce time on site. In addition, each building had to follow an identical design and construction template to simplify long-term operation and maintenance across the entire estate.
The solution
Given the compressed build schedule for the seven concurrent projects, Eclipse selected the Dynalite DALI system as the optimal solution to deliver a fully compliant and energy-efficient lighting management platform. By standardising the system design across all seven sites—and leveraging modular cabling solutions along with extensive offsite pre-commissioning—Eclipse was able to meet the demanding timelines while coordinating effectively with seven different subcontractor teams.
Following project completion, Eclipse now provides centralised management and maintenance of both the lighting and emergency lighting systems, working closely with the main contractor’s facilities teams. This centralised monitoring enables comprehensive reporting and supports on-site service personnel across all locations.
This multi-site delivery model provides a cost-effective and operationally efficient solution for our client as they manage the buildings under a 25-year Public Private Partnership (PPP) agreement.
