    SY5 was a data center project where the client required a lighting control system to manage, monitor, and maintain DALI luminaires. With numerous data halls, communal areas, and corridors, the data center needed not only innovative lighting control but also to be energy efficient. Areas in use needed to be lit up, while vacant areas needed to be switched off.

     

    A combination of Philips Dynalite and a purpose-built Philips data center provided a connected lighting solution. In utilizing the Philips Dynalite control system, the project was able to meet control strategies and reporting to assist in asset management. Specifically, the client wanted to demonstrate the highest levels of energy efficiency. This was achieved with an innovative occupancy and absence detection system.
