Philips Smart Lighting launches Screen Sync and Fairy String Lights
Eindhoven, the Netherlands: Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, is expanding Philips Smart Lighting with two product launches designed to make connected lighting more immediate, expressive and easy to enjoy. The new Screen Sync with Strip Light turns television content into responsive, room-filling color, while the new RGBIC Fairy String Lights bring flexible ambience to celebrations and everyday moments indoors and outdoors1.
Immersion made easy - with any content on screen
Philips Smart Lighting Screen Sync with Strip Light brings movies, television and sport beyond the edges of the display. A fisheye lens captures the full screen from edge to edge, reading its colors in real time and reproducing them through a four-sided RGBIC strip light mounted behind the television.
Because the device responds directly to what appears on the screen, it can synchronize with native smart-TV apps, broadcast television, and HDMI-connected devices. Consumers will not have to route their entertainment through a separate HDMI source, making it easy to enjoy responsive lighting with content from any source.
Installation is designed to be straightforward. Users position the Screen Sync device on top of the television and start calibration in the app. The device automatically aligns its anchor points with the screen, with the option to make manual adjustments afterwards.
Preset sync modes can tailor the effect to different viewing experiences, while a built-in microphone can make the lights respond to music. Consumers who want to extend the experience across the room can add compatible Philips Smart Lighting bulbs, lightstrips and lamps.
One complete kit, shaped around the television
Screen Sync with Strip Light is offered as a complete kit in versions designed for televisions from 40 to 50 inches, 55 to 65 inches and 75 to 85 inches. The strip delivers smooth multicolor gradients around all four sides of the screen, creating a continuous surround-lighting effect. Each kit includes both the Screen Sync device and Strip Light, so consumers do not need to select or purchase the components separately.
Decorative color, wherever the moment happens
The new Philips Smart Lighting RGBIC Fairy String Lights extend dynamic color throughout the home. Available in 10-, 15- and 20-meter lengths, they combine millions of colors with preset effects such as chasing rainbows, soft fades and sparkling accents. Their long, flexible format makes it easy to decorate bedrooms and living spaces, create a colorful backdrop for parties, or bring atmosphere to gardens and outdoor gatherings.
Powered through USB-C, the Fairy String Lights can also be connected to a power bank, giving consumers the freedom to place them without needing a nearby outlet. They can be controlled through the app, compatible accessories or voice commands. Music sync makes the lights pulse to the beat when a smartphone is kept near the sound source.
The lighting and controller are IP65-rated, making the Fairy String Lights suitable for indoor and outdoor use.1
