Immersive lighting elevates the race day experience at Silverstone

August 23, 2024

The British Grand Prix at Silverstone marked the inaugural race weekend for Signify in our partnership with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 (F1) Team

Silverstone was also the first opportunity for us to integrate our products into the action at track. As the official lighting partner for Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, we support the team’s vision to become one of the world's most sustainable sports teams.

Driven by responsible innovation, our partnership will see Signify lighting solutions help advance the team's sustainability goals, enhance the well-being and performance of drivers and team members, and elevate fan experiences trackside and at home.

By integrating our premium lighting technologies, we were able to elevate the experience of the team and the guests, ensuring that every moment spent at the Club was as memorable as the thrilling nature of F1 racing.

With unique textures, colors and shapes, our 3D-printed luminaires are made from recyclable materials and designed for the circular economy. We worked closely with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 team to select luminaires to enhance the Silverstone Club.”

Lights, camera, action: lighting that reacts to content on screen

Philips Hue, a sub-brand of Signify, is crafted from light, powered by performance, and works by syncing lights and audio with the action on screen. Our immersive Hue TV surround lighting brought a new dimension to the F1 simulator at the Silverstone Club for an unparallelled lighting experience.

Fans at home can elevate the race experience with TV surround lighting that enhances the entertainment journey.
