Ekimovsky school is a residential care facility, hosting about 100 children with special needs. They regard this place as their home and each other as their family.
The lighting infrastructure of the buildings was constructed in the 1960s. It was in dire need of modernization when volunteers from Signify Russia helped to completely retrofit the entire facility. They enthusiastically installed high-quality LED luminaires on all four floors of both buildings at the school, including classrooms, a gym, the library, corridors, living rooms, and bathrooms.
