Customer challenge
Maintaining consistent cutting quality while improving rooting speed and uniformity was a key challenge for Deliflor Hoogveld. Traditional methods, such as using foil and relying on ambient conditions, led to growth variability and issues like blue cuttings caused by temperature and humidity fluctuations. To address this, Deliflor sought a solution that would provide a controlled environment, shorten cultivation time, and ensure reliable, high-quality results year-round.
Intelligent lighting solution
Deliflor Hoogveld implemented a multi-layer cultivation system equipped with Philips GreenPower LED lighting. The bottom two layers operate without daylight, using full LED lighting to create a consistent climate with stable temperature, humidity, and light intensity. This setup eliminates issues like blue cuttings and supports faster, more uniform rooting. By optimizing light and climate conditions across all layers, Deliflor achieves high-quality, uniform cuttings and a shorter cultivation cycle, meeting production goals with improved reliability and efficiency.
