    Key topics and learnings

This month’s webinar is more philosophical in nature.

Let’s step away from the techno-babble that surrounds us and often predicated design. This talk would re-engage our inner emotional motivations and allow one to explore a deeper rationale for the design concepts and direction even before the first calculation or selection of any fixture.

Peter wants the audience to look into a more holistic design approach that includes nature, emotion, movement and silence. You should enjoy an appreciation for the proper use of darkness and how powerful it can be in its own right. They should learn to personalize each project and treat them as living organisms, not just as material structures.

Here are the learning objectives of this webinar:

    • Audience will find out new ways to think about spaces beyond the technical and/or psychological needs.
    • Audience will be pushed to find ways to better individualize approaches to project design and work within a greater new philosophical norm.
    • The seminar will show how the technical aspects of design should SUPPORT a holistic design approach, not predicate it (cart before the horse design).
    • Audience will be challenged to consider the role of emotional state within a space, and how it can work to reduce energy usage while creating better spaces.
