    Abu Dhabi Financial Center
    Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates 


    Abu Dhabi Financial Center is a uniquely designed trapezoid building that faces the waterfront of Al-Maryah Island, on top of the Galleria Mall. The drive to become more eco-friendly influenced the solution for the front and rear facades: illumination with LED direct light views. Now, the Mall is able to play animations during special events and scroll text, images and videos.

    • Luminaires customized by Color Kinetics with LED chips upgraded for color uniformity
    • An option for RGB effects and video animations
    • Lighting control system syncs with the building management system as required

    Intercontinental Hotel 
    Dubai, United Arab Emirates


    Inspired by a sailboat, Intercontinental Hotel is a well-known landmark on Dubai Creek. The challenge was to find a low power replacement for the old cold-cathode lighting, for both Intercontinental Hotel and neighbouring Crowne Plaza, to play color-changing light shows.

     

    Solution? The team installed Color Kinetics iColor Accent Powercore and ColorGraze Powercore. Two Color Kinetics Light System Managers and two Ethernet Controller Keypads allow each building to be controlled independently.

    Midfield Tunnel
    Doha, Qatar


    Two underground roads – each 660 meters long – connect the main highway to the New Doha International Airport Terminal. The brief for this adventurous lighting project was to highlight the aluminum  reflective panels installed along the tunnel’s ceiling, as well as the interior design. The combination of light sensors and LED luminaires is economically viable because of its power efficiency.

    • Tunnel lighting automatically adjusts in intensity depending on time of day
    • RGB LED color-changing luminaires allow for different lighting effects
    • Color Kinetics iColor Graze Powercore used to illuminate and highlight aluminum panels

    Al Jassimiya Tower
    Doha, Qatar


    A striking 44-story building in an exceptional location, Doha’s Al Jassimya Tower is designed with an oriental theme, including Arabic elements such as domes, wind catchers and mashrabiyas . The aim was for new façade lighting to accentuate the different architectural elements, while being strong enough to be viewed from miles away.

    • ColorReach Powercore at the heart of the installation
    • Easily operated with luminaires that can be controlled individually or in groups
    • Triggers for different lighting effects delivered by touch panel or the building management system
