Philips Hue adds brightest bulb to its extensive family of smart lights and accessories

    June 16, 2020

Also introduces enhanced Lightstrip and Hue Bloom table lamp, enabling you to bring ambiance and colorful light anywhere in your home

Somerset, New Jersey – Today, Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, announced it is continuing to expand and enhance its extensive family of smart lights and accessories. You now have even more ways to seamlessly create the perfect ambiance anywhere in your home.

The new, powerful Philips Hue White A21 bulb (available in late July, MSRP: $19.99) is the brightest bulb in the collection. With 1600 lumen output (equivalent to a traditional 100W bulb), it can fully illuminate a kitchen, garage or any other room. The smart light bulb also offers wireless dimming, so you can easily go from functional to mood lighting with the tap of an app.

The Bluetooth-enabled Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus gives you colorful, smart light anywhere in your home. Place it along kitchen cabinets and staircases or highlight decorative pieces. You can customize the lightstrip by cutting it to the perfect size or connecting it up to eight Hue Bluetooth-enabled extensions. You can also now reuse trimmed pieces, so you can adapt the lightstrip to your room or décor. The Lightstrip (2-meter base MSRP: $79.99; 1-meter extension: $24.99) will be available at Target starting this week and at additional retailers later this summer.

The Philips Hue Bloom table lamp (available in late July, MSRP: $69.99) has also gotten a big upgrade. Available in a white finish, it features richer colors, improved white light with an output of up to 500 lumens and a consistent experience with the rest of the Hue range (the color temperature can be tuned from warm white [2000K] to cool daylight [6500K]). With its compact design and the addition of Bluetooth, the Bloom table lamp can be easily moved around within your home. It provides indirect lighting, so you can highlight your décor, paint your walls with millions of colors and bring the right ambiance.
