FAQs
Across the families on this page, luminous flux runs from 940 lm to 249,500 lm, at wattages from 10 W to 2,000 W. Efficacy ranges from 94 lm/W to 200 lm/W, and colour temperatures span 2,000 K to 6,500 K, with CRI reaching up to 90. This broad output range covers everything from compact site floodlights to high-power luminaires for large outdoor areas.
The range includes, among others, OptiVision LED gen3.5, ActiStar Large, FieldStar Floodlight, GameVision, Tango Pro, Clearflood gen2, Area Star, Coreline tempo large, medium and small gen2, Tempo HE, Ledinaire high wattage floodlight, CraneMaster BVP662CR/BVP665CR, and the SmartBright and Essential SmartBright floodlight generations. Each family page lists its available lumen packages, optics and mounting options.
Wattage shows power consumption, not light output. To compare light output, compare luminous flux in lumens. Efficacy (lm/W) links the two values: a luminaire with higher efficacy delivers more lumens from the same wattage. Across this page, flux ranges from 940 lm to 249,500 lm and efficacy from 94 lm/W to 200 lm/W. Compare luminaires by lumens and efficacy before you consider wattage.
Base the layout on a photometric calculation, not on wattage or rule-of-thumb spacing. Import the IES/LDT files from each family page into DIALux or Relux. Then model the mounting heights, aiming angles, obstructions and site boundaries against the project's illuminance and uniformity targets. This calculation tells you how many fixtures you need, which optics to use and how much light spills beyond the target area.
Outdoor-rated variants are available at IP65 and IP66, which protect against dust and water jets for permanent exterior installation. Impact resistance ranges from IK05 to IK08 depending on the family. Choose the rating based on the exposure and vandalism risk at the mounting position. Confirm the exact IP and IK values for each variant on the family datasheet, because the ratings differ between families.
Many families are dimmable, typically through a control system such as DALI, but not every variant is dimmable, so check the variant's datasheet. For recreational sports installations, DALI is one of the control options. Interact connected lighting can provide scheduling and dimming. For general outdoor area lighting, network control normally runs through Interact rather than a DALI network. See lighting controls for platform options.
Rated lifetimes across the families on this page range from 50,000 hours to 100,000 hours. A standard 5-year warranty applies Check each family datasheet for the lifetime figure of the specific variant. Warranty terms can differ by country and project type, so confirm the warranty period and conditions for your market with your local Signify representative or authorised partner.
Open the individual product family page, such as ActiStar Large or Clearflood gen2. The Downloads section there provides datasheets and IES/LDT photometric files. To buy, use the "Where to buy" authorised partner network, or contact Signify for project quotations and specification support.
This is Signify's global product page. Regulations differ by market and region, for example the EU EcoDesign Directive and the EU Single Lighting Regulation (EU) 2019/2020, and these requirements are not detailed here. For compliance information that applies to your installation, go to Signify's website for your country via the country selector. The corresponding category page there lists locally compliant variants and the standards that apply in that market.
