C Arunkumar is Whole-Time Director of Signify Innovations India Limited and serves as Head of Consumer Business at Signify, India. He is also a member of the Board of Signify, Sri Lanka.
Arun joined Philips in 1995 and brings over 31 years of experience in the lighting industry. Having spent his entire professional career with Philips and Signify, he has progressed through successive leadership roles spanning frontline sales, regional and national business management, product management, and end-to-end business responsibility before taking on leadership of the Consumer Business.
As Head of Consumer Business, Arun has led the turnaround of Signify India's Consumer Business through innovation, deeper channel engagement, scaling the EcoLink value brand, and building adjacent growth businesses. Under his leadership, the Consumer Business has become one of Signify India's strongest growth engines, delivering sustained profitable growth while accelerating digital transformation.
Arun also serves as Vice President of the Electric Lamp and Component Manufacturers' Association of India (ELCOMA), where he works closely with industry stakeholders and government bodies to promote quality standards, product safety, energy efficiency, and the sustainable growth of India's lighting industry.
Known for his collaborative leadership style, Arun leads through trust, mentorship, and empowerment, enabling teams to perform at their best.
Arun has an educational background in electrical engineering and holds an MBA in Marketing. He has also completed an Executive Management Program at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and the Global Advanced Management Program offered jointly by ISB and Kellogg School of Management.
