    Adelaide Convention Centre

    This re-development project included design, programming, commissioning to make it a large multi-purpose function centre with state-of-the-art Plenary & Exhibition Halls. The Lighting Control System was programmed to utilize the inherent flexibility and advanced tasking of Philips Dynalite to control over 60 potential room configurations from just one source – either User Panel, Audio Video System integration or from a DMX Lighting Console. The rooms have operable walls, halls have rotating seats and a 3,500 seat Plenary Hall can vertically retract its hinged seating to reveal a 3000sqm Exhibition Hall.

    This large-scale project lies beneath Australia’s largest city and helps to power and protect a number of iconic buildings. It required a huge commitment and state-of-the-art lighting solutions using Philips Dynalite  technology, including Envision Manager software, with integration into an OBSI system.

    Metropolitan Fire Service

    Designed to accommodate a 24/7 emergency crew and meet the objectives and response needs outlined within the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service’s planning strategy. The station, designed with a 50 year minimum life cycle, has a strong focus on minimising maintenance requirements whilst maximising energy efficiencies. The distributed intelligence control system supports this aim through the occupancy, demand and scheduled control of the building’s lighting. AutomateNow programmed the system to provide safe, comfortable and productive lighting for each of the functional areas.

    AutomateNow provided a highly flexible control solution to control the signage, entry and foyer areas. The public and private dining areas were enhanced with lighting levels tailored for different times of the day, providing options from vibrant mornings to relaxing evenings. The highlighting of the kitchen, service and licensed bar areas with lighting that reflected the desired ambience of the restaurant, whilst providing safe minimum light levels for the staff, was an important integration expected of today’s modern restaurants.
