    Hôtel du Palais
    Biarritz, France


    Originally built by Napoleon III as a palace for his wife Eugenie, the Hôtel du Palais, a symbol of the town’s past grandeur had lost its sparkle. Parisian lighting designer, Franck Franjou was commissioned to design a new lighting scheme.
     

    His challenges? A six month project timescale and how best to light this majestic building in keeping with its history and setting. He chose partner Axente for their lighting controls expertise and delivery capabilities.

    Vaulx-en-Velin, France


    This spectacular 180,000 sqm project was designed by Laurent Fachard of Les Eclairagistes Associés with the aim of bringing the shopping mall to life at night, at the time the cinema is open. The lighting encompasses the buildings, walkways, elevators and car parks. It’s the perfect way to meet the owners’ commercial needs, while also balancing the need for environmentally friendly illumination.

    • Architectural concept enhanced by 16,000 RGB pixels using Color Kinetics iColor Flex
    • Pixels addressed point by point to allow for chromatic programs that change with the seasons
    • Lighting accentuates the rhythm and identity of undulating metal profiles
