    Message from
    Eric Rondolat, CEO,
    on the COVID-19 outbreak

The COVID-19 pandemic is unprecedented in its scale and the challenges it presents.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families of all those affected. And with the health and essential workers battling this pandemic.

I’m often asked: what is Signify’s top priority during this time? The answer is the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers, partners and people around us. That’s our number one priority.

From the outset we established teams, centrally and locally, to monitor the situation, respond quickly and act appropriately, adhering to the advice of governments and local authorities.

Special teams are also in place to minimize the impact on deliveries and service levels to our customers and partners. A special word to you: you are the lifeblood of our business and we will do our utmost to support you. I wish to thank you for working with us in these challenging times and for your continuing collaboration.

As a responsible, global company, we have a role to play in helping contain the virus. We’ve implemented a variety of policies including restrictions on travel and access to our sites, homeworking and very stringent hygiene and health measures in our plants, logistic hubs and R&D centers.

Light has an essential role to play in such times. We supplied lights to the new hospitals in Wuhan and recently increased production of our UV-C lamps used for sterilization and disinfection. Elsewhere, light helps maintain our wellbeing, safety and security, from lighting logistics centers and highways through to greenhouses for food production and supporting those working from home.

    Where we can, we’re helping.

If you have a question, please reach out to your local Signify representative.

Thank you, take care and stay safe.

    Best regards,

    Eric Rondolat
