Vinayak Deshpande is the Chairman and Independent & Non-executive Director at Signify Innovations India Limited. He comes with a strong background in building and growing companies focused on projects and services (Tata Honeywell, Tata Tele, HCC, Tata Projects).
Vinayak was also the Managing Director of Tata Projects and as Managing Director, he had been instrumental in diversifying the company's business in 'Urban Infrastructure' and 'Civil Construction' winning projects to build Urban Metro systems. Under his leadership, Tata Projects was voted as the ‘Most Admired Construction Company' by ‘Construction World' and was also awarded 'Exemplary Project' of the year award by Dun & Bradstreet and E & Y for building Krishnapatnam (2x800 MW) Supercritical thermal power plant. Tata Projects also won the EPC World 'Outstanding Contribution in Power T&D award' for building the Nellore Kurnool transmission line and won the contract to build the ‘New Parliament Building of India’, a prestigious project, under Central Vista redevelopment plans.
Vinayak is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur, he has over 36 years of rich experience handling different roles in diverse industries.
